PLEASANT SURPRISE:Nurse wins a Kia Forte after signing up for Takaful’s home insurance campaign

KLINIK Kesihatan Hiliran, Kuala Terengganu nurse, Wan Noor Iznieda Wan Zakaria, 30, was unaware of the grand prize reward for Takaful Malaysia insurance buyers five months ago.
On April 18, she won a Naza Kia Forte 1.6L for the 8th Takaful Malaysia Housing Loan Division, Treasury of Malaysia (BPP) campaign.
The campaign was held for eight months from February last year for government employees.
She joined another 28 winners who received prizes such as iPad 2, iPhone 4S, Blackberry Bold 9790, and RM3,000 travel vouchers at a prize giving ceremony at Hotel Equatorial here.
"It was a suggestion from my housing developer to choose Takaful Malaysia as a panel insurer," she said.
Noor Iznieda bought a single-storey home in Kemaman when she was pregnant with Muhammad Hadif Amsyar Mohd Hafizuddin, now five months-old.
"It was convenient dealing with Takaful Malaysia," she said.
SMK Jalan Damai, Bukit Mertajam teacher, Chan Mei Hui, 39, who bagged a travel voucher was happy with the coverage offered by Takaful Malaysia for her condominium in Seberang Perai, Pulau Pinang.
Syarikat Takaful Malaysia group managing director Datuk Mohammad Hassan Kamil is targeting 7,000 customers under the BPP campaign after attracting 5,300 last year.
"The car reward, which was introduced in the 8th BPP campaign will be ongoing for following campaigns," he said.
Syarikat Takaful Malaysia assistant general manager Noraini Mohd Yusof said home buyers will be covered under Mortgage Reducing Term Takaful (MRTT) after their loan applications are approved and the Long Term Houseowner's Takaful (LTHT) once construction of the house is completed.
In the event of death or permanent damage, MRTT will help to clear the loan, provide RM2,500 for assisted haj (Muslims) or bereavement benefit (non-Muslims) in addition to the RM1,000 for funeral expenses.
Buyers will get 15 per cent rebate from the contribution in the event of non-claim under LTHT after the loan has expired
